Why We Don’t Use Synthetic Fragrance
Many synthetic fragrances contain phthalates or undisclosed ingredients that can be irritating—especially in leave-on formulas like deodorant. At Monks, we craft our scents using a curated blend of natural aromatic extracts, including steam-distilled essential oils, hydrodistilled oils, and hexane-extracted absolutes. While these natural extracts are potent, we adhere to the International Fragrance Association (IFRA) safety guidelines to ensure each formulation is both effective and considerate of skin sensitivity.
Essential oils don’t just smell good—they often offer functional benefits like odor control, antimicrobial activity, or soothing properties. Our sourcing is intentional, and each blend is crafted to work in harmony with your skin and the rest of our clean, effective formula.
