What are AHAs?
Alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs) are gentle,
fruit-derived acids that help maintain your skin’s natural balance. In our
deodorants, they play a key role in keeping you fresh by creating an
environment where odor-causing bacteria struggle to thrive.
How do AHAs work in our deodorants?
Body odor isn’t caused by sweat itself—it’s
the result of bacteria breaking down sweat on your skin. These bacteria thrive
in a higher, more alkaline pH. AHAs naturally lower the skin’s pH to a level
where these bacteria can’t survive, effectively stopping odor before it starts.
What are the benefits of AHAs?
Beyond keeping odor at bay, AHAs help smooth and brighten the skin, reducing hyperpigmentation over time. They also gently exfoliate, which can help prevent ingrown hairs and irritation, making them
ideal for the delicate underarm area.
